It turns out the mystery ingredient is ascorbic acid or Vitamin C.
On what planet does is what they chose better than "100% Apple Juice from concentrate with added vitamin C"?

This label reads "100% Apple Juice from concentrate with added ingredient" which makes me very suspicious of this "added ingredient" what kind of cancer-causing preservative have they mixed in that needs to hide behind such a vague label?
